Join Portland-based designer and director Paul Harrod for a multimedia talk about his work on Wes Anderson’s new film Isle of Dogs.
In Anderson’s second stop-motion feature, set in the pseudo-future city of Megasaki, all canines have been banished to ominous Trash Island. To defeat the forces behind this dire situation, characters navigate cramped urban spaces and a variety of strange dystopian wildernesses and industrial wastelands — 240 sets in total — all fashioned with Anderson’s famous balance of order and copious detail.
In his presentation, followed by Q&A, Harrod will discuss how he and co-production designer Adam Stockhausen brought this incredible world to life.
