Widman Youth Engagement Fund
About
The Widman Youth Engagement Fund, named in honor of Film Streams supporter Ron Widman, provides complimentary tickets and concessions to students and youth in our community. This program is open to all schools and organizations, bringing the joy of cinema to everyone.
To receive relevant programming updates, contact Film Streams Assistant General Manager or Marketing & Communications, Patrick White at PatrickWhite@FilmStreams.org or 402.933.0259 x158.
The Widman Fund provides:
- Complimentary movie tickets for youth and their chaperones
- A fun-sized popcorn and a small Sprite for each attendee
Guidelines for Widman Fund Visits
- Please provide at least one week's notice for attendance at any of our regularly scheduled programs.
- Groups are limited to a maximum of 50 people, including both youth and chaperones, for any published showtime.
- If our published showtimes don’t align with your schedule, we may be able to accommodate groups of 30 or more with an additional showtime during the film’s scheduled run dates. Requests for additional showtimes must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
Scheduling Your Visit
- Explore our new releases, Forever Young series (featuring family-friendly entertainment), or Weekend Essentials series (showcasing everything from cinematic landmarks to cult classics and hidden gems) to find the perfect film for your group. Then, choose a date and time that works best for you.
- Make your reservation here. Please allow 48 hours for confirmation.
- Pick up your tickets at the box office, grab some snacks from Concessions, and enjoy the show!
Mentor/Mentee Programs
If your organization runs a mentor/mentee program, participants can use the Widman Youth Engagement Fund to receive complimentary tickets and concession items.
To arrange a mentor/mentee screening, please get in touch with Patrick White at PatrickWhite@FilmStreams.org or 402.933.0259 x158 and provide the mentor/mentee’s name who wants to utilize the fund. When the mentor arrives at the theater, they should check in at the box office, inform the attendant that they are a mentor with your organization, and request to use the Widman Youth Engagement Fund for that day’s screening and concessions. The box office attendant will then record the number of tickets and concessions the mentor and mentee claim.
