The latest film from Charlie Kaufman (writer of BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, ADAPTATION, and ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESSS MIND; writer-director of SYNEDOCHE, NEW YORK) is a story about existential ennui rendered in stop-motion animation. Michael Stone, a customer-service expert leading a mundane life, struggles to connect with other people. He travels to Ohio to speak at a convention, where he encounters a woman who immediately cuts through the haze of his banal existence.
