Richard Eyre’s stunning production of Bizet’s steamy melodrama returns with two of its great leasing ladies, Elîna Garanèa and Anita Rachvelishvili, who share the title role of the ill-fated gypsy temptress. Alekandrs Antonenko, Roberto Alagna, and Jonas Kaufman take turns playing Carmen’s desperate lover, Don José, and Ildar Abdarazakov is the swaggering bullfighter Escamillo. Pablo Heras-Casado and Louis Langrée share conducting duties.<br><br><I>With a Prelude Talk by Opera Omaha at 11 am on the day of the live broadcast (Saturday, November 1).
