Watching and discussing movies is one of my favorite things to do! I love the community it creates and it's always nice to hear how a movie affects someone else and what they took away from it.

Deep Dive: Heartbreak
Saturdays, Jan 17 – 31, 10 am—1 pm • Dundee Micro
In a letter to a lover, Oscar Wilde opined, “hearts are made to be broken”, and Roger Ebert once said, “For me, the movies are like a machine that generates empathy.” Films about heartbreak not only reflect a near universal human experience, but they also have the capacity to encourage deep personal growth.
Deep Dive: Heartbreak will examine three films that navigate the wilds of human experiences, not to flinch away from the pain of heartbreak but to accept it as fundamentally human.
Deep Dive: Heartbreak is a three-week Deep Dive. Each week in class students will watch a film from the syllabus and engage in a community discussion facilitated by Film Streams’ General Manager of Education, Paul Sanchez. Complimentary snacks and class materials provided.
