Deep Dive: Remake vol 2

Suspiria (1977), is arguably Dario Argento’s masterpiece. It’s a color-soaked nightmare at a dance school with an outrageous score; it oozes a certain cool. In 2018, over 40 years later, Luca Guadagnino daringly released a remake of Argento’s beloved film.
Deep Dive: Remake vol 2 is a two-week Deep Dive designed to examine two connected films; a source text and its remake. In class attendees will explore the relationship between these films and the ways different artists might construct and navigate the same narrative. Each week in class students will watch a film from the syllabus and engage in a community discussion facilitated by Film Streams’ General Manager of Education, Paul Sanchez. Complimentary snacks and class materials provided.

NOTE: Holding both Saturday and Sunday sessions is contingent upon reaching half capacity (approximately 12 attendees) for each session. If either date does not reach half capacity, that session will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.
Refund Policy
Registration fees for Deep Dives may be refunded until two weeks prior to the first class. After that period, no refunds or exchanges will be accepted. The registration fee may not be transferred to another Deep Dive, nor is it applicable toward regularly priced programming. Refunds will not be given for a partially attended Deep Dive. In the event that Film Streams needs to cancel a Deep Dive, we will refund the registration fee.
