Watching and discussing movies is one of my favorite things to do! I love the community it creates and it's always nice to hear how a movie affects someone else and what they took away from it.

Deep Dive: Cult Classic

What defines a cult classic? The label is often applied to low-budget B movies, but surely there's more to these films than that. A term with such ambiguity warrants exploration.
Deep Dive: Cult Classic will investigate popular and often debated terms such as "cult film" and "cult classic." By the end of this class, students will have unpacked the term and developed their own definitions.
This is a three-week Deep Dive. Each week in class students will watch a film from the syllabus and engage in a community discussion facilitated by Film Streams’ General Manager of Education, Paul Sanchez and Film Streams' Weitz Fellow, Markus Gunadi. Complimentary snacks and class materials provided.

Refund Policy
Registration fees for Deep Dives may be refunded until two weeks prior to the first class. After that period, no refunds or exchanges will be accepted. The registration fee may not be transferred to another Deep Dive, nor is it applicable toward regularly priced programming. Refunds will not be given for a partially attended Deep Dive. In the event that Film Streams needs to cancel a Deep Dive, we will refund the registration fee.
