Featuring a cast of prominent artists, Carmine Street Guitars captures five days in the life of custom guitar maker Rick Kelly and his young apprentice Cindy Hulej. As they build handcrafted guitars out of reclaimed wood from old hotels, bars, churches, and other fading fixtures of Greenwich Village, guitar nobility like Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith Group), Charlie Sexton (Bob Dylan touring band), and Kirk Douglas (The Roots) pay visits.
