Stephen King and the late George Romero joined forces to create this tongue-in-cheek ode to EC Comics. Made at a time when the Slasher film was building to peak saturation, Creepshow offered something more playful in spirit and tone. The anthology fright flick is far from dead but it doesn't get much better... or filled with as many puns. -- Andy Helmkamp
