The grotesque mob bosses, and four-color noir world of the comic strip are adapted with slavish admiration to the medium in Warren Beatty’s Dick Tracy. Starring Beatty, Madonna, an unrecognizable Al Pacino and featuring original songs from the late great Stephen Sondheim, there never has or ever will be a comic adaptation quite like this.
