Film Information

Love, levity, tenderness, and staggering humanity shine through Sarah Friedland’s feature debut, starring an astonishing Kathleen Chalfan. Working with retirement community residents to craft her story, Friedland's coming-of-old-age film is ultimately a masterful examination of the grace required to face the uncertainty of our own denouement.

Ruth Goldman (Chalfant) has been living with dementia for some time, and the time has come to place her in an assisted living facility. But while this may seem like the end, for her it represents something like a new beginning.

Reviews
"Friedland’s film, as sharp as it is soft, conveys both the terror of losing the life you recognize, and the intermittent, fragmented joy of finding it again." –Variety
