Although It Ends found an audience at Sundance in 2025, it was not on the path to theaters. However, within a week of being available on the Letterboxd Video Store, with platform users excitedly logging and loving it, NEON quickly acquired the film for distribution. Within a year and a half, Alex Ullom’s tiny indie film went from its festival debut to a wide theatrical release, backed by the company behind some of cinema’s most awarded and talked-about films.
A group of recent grads head out on a late night drive, hoping to enjoy one final hangout before their paths diverge. Instead, they accidentally turn on to a never-ending, two-lane hellscape surrounded by untold horrors. Cramped together inside a Jeep Cherokee and with the miles stretching infinitely ahead, they face a choice: embrace their new existence or fight to escape it.
Reviews "It Ends fits cozily into the conversation with its contemporaries, but also confidently declares a new voice in the horror sphere." – Roger Ebert
