A sing-along screening of MARY POPPINS at the Ruth Sokolof Theater with some cast members of The Rose Theater’s production of “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical” in person.
An enduring tale of whimsy and imagination, MARY POPPINS has been thrilling children young and old for over fifty years! In an iconic role, Julie Andrews embodies the madcap and magical nanny, while Dick van Dyke and David Tomlinson co-star in memorable roles. Director Robert Stevenson helmed many favorite live-action Disney films, like OLD YELLER, THE ABSENT MINDED PROFESSOR, THE LOVE BUG, and BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS. The film produced indelible songs like “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” “A Spoonful of Sugar,” and of course, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” This is the audience’s chance to belt out the lyrics along with the film on the big screen – and cast members of The Rose’s “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical” – running June 5-28 – will lead the way!
