Florence Miailhe’s hauntingly beautiful hand-painted short was inspired by Jewish French swimmer Alfred Nakache, who competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics and 1948 London Olympics after surviving imprisonment in Auschwitz, where his wife and daughter were murdered.
This years long after hours passion project was created entirely by a crew of over 200 dedicated artists and technicians who generously donated their time and talent to bring every frame of the film to life. An orphaned bear cub finds a home with a fatherly evergreen tree, until his hunger for trash leads him to danger.

Desperate to survive, he sells them to a ruthless pawnbroker who soon hungers for more. Torn between love and greed, the boy faces the perilous cost of his choices.
Winner of 5 Oscar®-Qualifying Awards, the film won the Grand Jury Award and Audience Award at SXSW 2025 as well as Best of the Festival Award at Palm Springs Shortfest 2025, the film tells the story of Ray (Domhnall Gleeson) as he fantasizes about everything he’d love to do in retirement, once he finally has the “time.”
Praised for its simple yet elegant hand-drawn animation and its quirky humor, the film made its rounds in the awards circut under a pseudonym as part of a social experiment from Bronzit. In it, three sisters live a lonely life on an isolated island, each in their own small house. One day, circumstances develop in such a way that they are forced to rent out one of their houses.
