About the film:

Despite the minimal news coverage, sexual harassment and gender inequality against women are no less prevalent in science than they are in pop culture and corporate America. Join us after the film for a panel discussion with local femmes in STEM to discuss the trials, tribulations, and successes of their careers.

About the Panelists:

Tiffany Gamble

Everyone knows that technology has permeated our lives over the last 30 years. While the need is high for quality skilled workers in the technology ecosystem, the United States continues to struggle with finding talent. Tiffany Gamble has been a social science expert for over 22 years. She is a change leader, community advocate, and activist for social justice. While all of this is dear to her heart, her most rewarding role is becoming the founder of the Emerging Ladies Academy. Serving the black community over the last six years to empower black girls in technology has become her passion. Providing tech education, a safe space, mentorship, and a sense of belonging has become the most rewarding gift to give to the black community. Her motto: Education is continual and constant. Dr. Robyn Moses

Dr. Robyn Moses is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as her Master of Science and PhD in Reproductive Physiology from Texas A&M University. Her research focuses on activation of metabolic pathways and nutrient utilization during different stages of female reproduction. In addition to her research, Dr. Moses has been involved in multiple women in STEM programs at the academic and professional levels.

Dr. Patricia Soto

Dr. Patricia Soto is an associate professor in the department of physics at Creighton University. She earned her B.S. and M.S. in Physics at Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia. She completed her PhD at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and did her postdoctoral training at the University of California Santa Barbara. In addition to her work as a professor, she leads undergraduate researchers that use structural bioinformatics techniques to investigate protein conformational dynamics and folding in order to unravel molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative proteinopathies in humans.
