Women Directed

Dir. Ian Cheney, Sharon Shattuck USA 103 min Not Rated

Throughout the academic year, Science on Screen® creatively pairs screenings of classic, cult, science fiction, and documentary films with lively discussion by notable experts from the world of science technology.

About the film:

Despite the minimal news coverage, sexual harassment and gender inequality against women are no less prevalent in science than they are in pop culture and corporate America. Join us after the film for a panel discussion with local femmes in STEM to discuss the trials, tribulations, and successes of their careers.

About the Panelists:

While all of this is dear to her heart, her most rewarding role is becoming the founder of the Emerging Ladies Academy. Serving the black community over the last six years to empower black girls in technology has become her passion.
