Three ingredients for one of the most romantic films to grace the silver screen: A radiant Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck bringing full charm, and the dazzling backdrop of Rome. Hepburn stars as the cloistered Princess Anne. On holiday in Rome, a rebellious urge inspires her to sneak out of her room. Finding this strange young woman asleep on a park bench, Joe Bradley (Peck), an American newspaper reporter, allows her to stay at his apartment. The next morning Joe dashes off to cover Princess Anne's press conference, unaware that she is sleeping on his couch. Once he realizes his good fortune, Joe wagers his editor he can get an exclusive interview with the princess, which leads to an unforgettable day out around Rome.
