Presented with Omaha Public Library’s Common Soil Seed Library and Edible Omaha, this one-time screening will be followed by a panel discussion.
An alarming look at the global implications of climate change on farming, SEEDS OF TIME follows agriculture pioneer Cary Fowler as he races to protect the future of our food. Fowler embarks on passionate and personal journeys, from the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway to Peruvian potato farms, on his quest to save the one resource we cannot live without: our seeds. Following the screening will be a panel discussion with the Seed Program Manager for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture David Svik, Creighton University Professor and President of Living Red, LLC Taylor Keen, and urban farmer and owner of Prairie Gator Produce Steve Kunasek.
The “Harvest” issue of Edible Omaha will be released at the screening.
Free tickets for this special screening, made possible by Broadmoor Development Company, are limited to two per person.
