Soundtrack for a Revolution tells the story of the civil rights movement through the unique lens of music. The freedom songs that protesters sang on picket lines, in mass meetings, in police wagons, and in jail cells provided the soundtrack for events that forever impacted American society. Directors Bill Guttentag and Dan Sturman tell this story through a collage of archival documentary footage (featuring Rep. John Lewis, Harry Belafonte, and many others) and contemporary performances of immortal songs by the likes of John Legend, The Roots, Wyclef Jean, and Joss Stone.
