Panelists

Tiffany Gormley, LIMHP, LMHP, LADC is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over a decade of experience in behavioral health, specializing in trauma, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Her career has spanned direct clinical care and executive leadership, with a focus on building effective, community-based systems of care for individuals navigating complex life transitions. Tiffany has dedicated much of her work to serving high-risk and underserved populations, including individuals impacted by addiction, incarceration, and mental health crises. She has led the development of structured treatment programs, reentry-focused services, and group-based interventions designed to reduce relapse, improve stability, and support long-term recovery. Her approach emphasizes accountability, continuity of care, and meeting individuals where they are during the most critical moments of their lives. Tiffany is known for her direct, solutions-focused approach, challenging both providers and systems to think beyond traditional models of care and to build responses that are practical, accessible, and rooted in real community need.

Joseph Van Trimmel has been a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner since 2017, focusing his expertise on the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders within outpatient settings. Since 2021, he has served at the Heart Ministry Center (HMC), where he provides vital mental health services at no cost to the community. The majority of his work centers on supporting individuals enrolled in HMC’s intensive nine-month job training and placement program, which is specifically designed for those facing severe barriers to obtaining and maintaining employment. These challenges often include chronic substance use and mental disorders, histories of complex trauma, dysfunctional family systems, significant legal involvement, and a lack of foundational education. During this nine-month program, Joseph’s clients are able to address all facets of their health while simultaneously gaining practical vocational skills by working alongside staff to operate the center’s food pantry, laundromat, and flower shop. Participants are also provided the opportunity to return to school to complete their GED, earn job certifications, or pursue higher education to improve their long-term career prospects. Joseph’s commitment to his clients continues after graduation, as he provides ongoing mental health treatment, case management, and financial coaching to support their transition into new employment and help them achieve their future goals.

Film Information

Marah Strauch's films celebrate individuals who passionately create their paths. Following the success of her first feature about base jumping, Space Cowboy delves into the experience of depression and grief in the world of skydiving.

Joe Jennings, an innovator in the world of skydiving, has spent decades capturing breathtaking aerial moments. Partnering with fellow skydiver Rob Harris, they became one of the most influential skysurfing teams in history until tragedy struck, leaving Joe to navigate the skies alone. Now at 62, this skydiver is taking on a new challenge with a daring “flying car” stunt.

Reviews
"The feats of physics achieved here are impressive from miles away, but Space Cowboy finds its resonant core by diving deep into Jennings’ hard-won battle for personal peace." – IndieWire
