From director Shola Amoo, THE LAST TREE is a semi-autobiographical story of Femi, a British boy of Nigerian heritage who, after being fostered in a peaceful rural landscape, moves to inner-city London to live with his mother. As he progresses through his teens, Femi struggles with the culture and values of his new environment, and what it means to be a young black man in London. Bucking coming-of-age tropes, Femi journeys back to Lagos in search of his father, unexpectedly finding grace and healing.
