Part of a double feature with CHAMPAGNE. See both for the price of one! Or, if you’re not in the mood for a marathon, pick one or the other!
Though Hitchcock’s first film as director, many of the themes and images that would dominate his career are present: women in peril, apparitions, Continental decadence. Patsy, a chorus girl at The Pleasure Garden dance hall, takes in Jill and gets her a job. Jill meets a nice man, but while he’s away she starts to play around.
