VIVA stars Héctor Medina as Jesus, a young hairdresser working at a Havana drag club, who dreams of being a performer himself. Encouraged by his mentor, Mama (Luis Alberto García), Jesus finally gets his chance to take the stage. But when his estranged father Angel (Jorge Perugorría) abruptly reenters his life, his world is quickly turned upside down. As father and son clash over their opposing expectations of each other, VIVA becomes a love story as the men struggle to understand one another and reconcile as a family. Cuba/Ireland; 100 min.

VIVA presenta a Héctor Medina como Jesús, un joven estilista que trabaja en un club de espectáculos de transformistas en La Habana, que sueña con ser un artista. Animado por su consejero, Mama (Luis Alberto García), Jesús finalmente consigue su oportunidad de subir al escenario. Pero cuando su padre Ángel ( Jorge Perugorría ), de quien estaba separado, vuelve a entrar bruscamente a su vida, su mundo cambia. Como padre e hijo se enfrentan por sus expectativas opuestas entre ellos, VIVA se convierte en una historia de amor cuando los hombres luchan por comprender el uno al otro y reconciliarse como una familia.
