Warrior Women is the story Madonna Thunder Hawk, an early leader in the American Indian Movement (AIM), and her daughter Marcella, who has been involved in the drive for Native liberation since childhood. Both women are still at the forefront of indigenous issues, fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota. The film explores what it means to balance a movement with motherhood and how activist legacies are passed down from generation to generation.
