Presented by Film Streams in collaboration with Opera Omaha.
Prior to all live Saturday broadcasts, Opera Omaha presents Prelude Talks — informative and entertaining introductions by opera professionals specific to that day’s show.
The stage is set for The Met: Live in HD to return to the Ruth Sokolof Theater this fall!
You can expect the same caliber of opera programming from the Met, starting on October 8 with Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, starring René Pape. Other season highlights include classics by Verdi, Puccini, and Massenet and the Met's first performance of an opera by a Black composer, Terrence Blanchard’s Fire Shut Up in My Bones. As always, all live Saturday broadcasts will be introduced with Prelude Talks led by Opera Omaha. Encore replays will again be offered on Wednesday evenings.
