The Met: Live in HD, the Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning series of live performance transmissions, returns to cinemas for its 20th season this October with a lineup of eight productions, including daring new stagings and beloved classics. Experience extraordinary opera and special behind-the-scenes features live from the comfort of the Ruth Sokolof Theater!

The Met: Live in HD is presented in partnership with Opera Omaha. Opera Omaha Subscribers can receive discounted tickets to all Met: Live in HD screenings.

Cosí fan tutte (Mozart)

Mozart’s satirical comedy of fickle young love returns in Phelim McDermott’s Coney Island–inspired production that sets the uproarious story at a 1950s boardwalk amusement park. Maestro Nimrod David Pfeffer conducts.

Two of opera’s most extraordinary artists, baritone Quinn Kelsey and soprano Lise Davidsen, star as Shakespeare’s scheming couple in a powerful new production by director Louisa Proske. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.

Saint-Saëns’s grand operatic take on the biblical tale returns with mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina and tenor Clay Hilley in the title roles. Giacomo Sagripanti conducts Darko Tresnjak’s epic production.

La Faniculla del West (Puccini)

Puccini’s exhilarating drama of the Wild West returns with a new staging by celebrated British director Richard Jones. Soprano Vida Miknevičiūtė makes an important Met debut as Minnie, alongside tenor SeokJong Baek as Dick Johnson and Christoper Maltman as Jack Rance. Maestro Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts.

Silent Night (Kevin Puts)

Kevin Puts’s Pulitzer Prize–winning opera premieres at the Met, inspired by the true events of the 1914 Christmas truce, when soldiers set aside the horrors of the First World War and crossed the trenches to mingle, exchange gifts, and sing carols with the enemy. Debuting maestro Dalia Stasevska conducts an evocative staging by James Robinson.

Soprano Nadine Sierra stars as the irresistible title character of Massenet’s passionate drama, opposite tenor Matthew Polenzani as Manon’s idealistic lover, the Chevalier des Grieux, in Laurent Pelly’s breathtaking Belle Époque production. Maestro Yves Abel conducts.

Otello (Verdi)

Tenor Brian Jagde stars in the tour-de-force title role of Verdi’s monumental Shakespearean drama—one of the pinnacles of Italian opera—alongside soprano Ailyn Pérez as Desdemona in Bartlett Sher’s production. Michele Mariotti leads the full forces of the Met Orchestra and Chorus in the exhilarating score.

Parsifal (Wagner)

Wagner’s transcendent final opera returns in François Girard’s acclaimed production. Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts a cast of Wagnerian superstars, including tenor Piotr Beczała in the title role, mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča as Kundry, and baritone Peter Mattei as Amfortas.
