Rarely screened theatrically and never released officially on home video, this 1978 film tells the story of Alan Freed, the pioneering radio DJ credited with introducing rock ‘n’ roll to white audiences who was later disgraced for accepting bribes. Kaye, an Omaha resident, also wrote the screen adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s WHERE THE BUFFALO ROAM.
