Supporting Women in Film in Hollywood and Beyond
Launched in 2020, See Change is Film Streams’ initiative aimed at achieving gender parity among the directors of the films we program.
The director chair is a telling and instructive data point — reflecting an even greater spectrum of gender disparities across various production roles within the film industry. For that reason, among others, we are broadening our focus for See Change to include producers, editors, writers, cinematographers and other vital positions that contribute to the collaborative filmmaking process.
By expanding See Change’s scope, we aspire to illuminate the crucial role of women and non-binary individuals in cinematic production. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment where diverse voices are valued and celebrated, ensuring that the art of filmmaking truly reflects the richness of our society.
