Presented by Film Streams in collaboration with Opera Omaha.
Prior to all live Saturday broadcasts, Opera Omaha presents Prelude Talks — informative and entertaining introductions by opera professionals specific to that day’s show.
The Met has a wonderful season in store for us all, starting on October 22, with a live transmission of Cherubini’s Medea, a Met-premiere production. The season will also feature the world-premiere staging of The Hours and five additional new productions — plus works by Verdi, Wagner, Strauss, Mozart, and Terrence Blanchard.
As always, all live Saturday broadcasts will be introduced with Prelude Talks led by Opera Omaha. Encore replays will again be offered on Wednesday evenings. The friendly staff and volunteers at the Ruth Sokolof Theater will be back to help you enjoy your Met experience.
