Lost Film Exclusive: The Heartbreak Kid (1972)

Directed by Elaine May and starring Cybill Shepherd and Charles Grodin, the film focuses on Grodin’s Lenny Cantrow, a newlywed man on his honeymoon who has second thoughts about his recent nuptials as falls in love with a different woman. This screening is a rare treat for audiences, as Film Streams has received one of the only prints available in the country courtesy of Bristol Myers Squibb and Elizabeth Purchell.

Daisies (1966)

From the brilliant mind of screenwriter and visionary director Vera Chytilova, this avant-garde blend of satire and psychological comedy is regarded as a milestone of the Czechoslovak New Wave movement. Daisies tells the story of two young women engaging in pranks, challenging authoritarian patriarchy. The film was viewed as so revolutionary that it was banned from many theaters in its home country of Czechoslovakia shortly after its release.

Vagabond (1985)
